Kathleen & Len | Wedding at The Woodlands | Wilkes Barre, PA

I’m sure you’ve heard the saying that every wedding should incorporate something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue. WELL, Fun fact #1: that saying comes from an Old English rhyme and those items are intended to bring the good luck to your big day. Fun fact #2: Kathleen and Len had the “something old” thing down pat at their summer wedding held at the outdoor garden at The Woodlands. These two met about 4 years ago through Facebook. Len popped the big question in December at NYC Rockefeller center. They have been inseparable ever since.

Vintage charm was the name of the game for this very photographable wedding, and I am so excited to share the images from that day with you! Though it’s hard to narrow down, I think my favorite vintage element from the entire wedding was the lace on the bride's dress because it was just absolutely stunning. The veil itself had such intricate detail, it's no wonder she said yes to this dress! Len and his groomsmen were dressed for the occasion in black pin striped suits and ties in different shades of purple.

There are two specific details that should absolutely be mentioned. Kathleen's father passed away but to ensure he walked her down the aisle, his picture adorned along with charms on the inner tops of her shoes. The second item was her something blue - white socks with Sole Mates , Mr & Mrs Kaspur and he date of their wedding in blue writing. I have never seen that before, but I am here for it.

In addition to being a gorgeous display, you could absolutely tell that everyone was swept up in the emotions of it all, and that they had a great time celebrating together. While Kathleen was a little concerned with everyone getting dressed and being on time, she said the ceremony was her favorite part of her day. Len put a ring on it, how could not be the best part!? I asked them what would be advice to give another couple on their wedding day. "Just be yourself and have fun."

Thank you again for inviting me to be part of your day, Kathleen and Len, and congratulations on your beautiful, love-filled wedding!
