LET'S GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER

My name is La'Quitia Denson

I'm a wedding and portrait photographer, living near Scranton in Northeastern Pennsylvania. My love of photography began just about 6 years ago in Newark, DE.

I was born abroad in Munich, Germany, and came to the states when I was about 2 years old. Having a family both from the United States and Panama (first-generation American on my mother's side), I have a profound appreciation for culture and diversity. I live with my love, Rey, and my soon-to-be 10-year-old Bengal and Russian blue mixed named Anubis. NEPA has been my home for the past 5 years and I am still uncovering the wonders of this valley and beyond.

Aside from my serious love of Mario Kart (Rey can attest to this) and cooking, I believe self-love and mental health is important and not given enough of a priority, and I am an advocate for immigrant and LGTBQA+ rights. I also believe Black lives matter and diversity, inclusion and equity should be a fluid part of society. I have such a wonderful opportunity to work with people from all different walks of life, cultures, and communities which has afforded me the ability to get to know others past the surface. I value my friends and family and of course, my couples and clients whom I have built a growing relationship with.

Ever since I’ve picked up a camera, I’ve been obsessed with capturing the world, people, and relationships through subtle details and play of light. It results in true-to-color images, freezing life in a flash. It is the authentic moments that I find to be fascinating and multifaceted, but the deepest emotions aren’t always easy to witness.

That’s why it’s important that we get to know each other far before your big day or session. Are you in?

"Live for moments you can't put into words"

- Clo Mailen

Memories are here and then gone in the blink of an eye. We try to hold onto these memories but over time, they can become hazy or fade. I found that through photography, I am able to allow people to re-live moments. They have the opportunity to feel emotions all over again by reminiscing over a photo of a first look or first kiss!

This is my gift to you. I want to help you preserve your legacy. So you can share these beautiful memories and stories with your family and friends. Tell them how it all started and what was life like 50 years ago. Trust me, these photos will be your most cherished and dear possessions.
